Merry Christmas 2012

Wow! A year ago I made a year-in-review video and posted it here. Now I've just finished one for 2012. Chris and I spent the day on the couch- he was playing Ogrebattle (which I really don't understand... every level looks the same!) and I edited video and photos from the last year.
It was a pretty relaxing way to spend the day.

While I didn't spend much time blogging in 2012, I did fill it with lots of time with family and friends, traveling, working and doing yoga.

Check out our video from the past year. Have a wonderful New Year's as well!

Jan. 5

Took a run/walk today in the evening. It was unusually nice out. It looked like November but with temperatures of April and a smell of October. Lovely colors, lovely weather. But even so, it feels like January. Everyone's hanging on to Christmas lights, blurring the lines between THE HOLIDAYS and the new year.

Merry Christmas, Here's to 2012!

Merry Christmas, friends. We had a lovely Christmas. Perhaps my favorite one yet :)

This week, I've been thinking about this year and the year to come. I'm struck by how fast 2011 went.

One whole year in this new job and I feel good and ready to take on 2012. While 2011 was about adapting to ever-changing norms, I think 2012 will be about me making this work for me.

I'm proud of what we've accomplished and ready for a new year.

One benefit to this job is that I'm always equipped with a camera, or at least an iPhone. I captured more "moments" in the every day this year than ever before.

While I didn't do much (any) scrapbooking, I'm so glad to be able to do something with all those images I took, all those moments of recording people secretly :) This feels like our year. And I do enjoy Kenny Loggins. Hope you do too.

Dec. 11

Card making and present buying and cookie baking seems to happen on Sundays.

Dec. 10

Three things on a Saturday leaves it feeling special and busy.

Dec. 9

What was once so popular is next season's clearance toy. But none of it seems necessary at all.

Dec. 8

It seemed much lighter than this when I was running, but still it was dark at 5:15 p.m. It feels so good to be out moving around. "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing."
